چکیده
We have calculated the D-meson spectral density at finite temperature within a self-consistent coupled-channel approach that generates dynamically the Λ c (2593) resonance. We find a small mass shift for the D-meson in this hot and dense medium while the spectral density develops a sizeable width. The reduced attraction felt by the D-meson in hot and dense matter together with the large width observed have important consequences for the D-meson production in the future CBM experiment at FAIR.

Collisions between heavy nuclei at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider liberate from the nuclear wavefunction of order 10,000 gluons, quarks and antiquarks. The system is dominated by gluons and up and down (anti) quarks. Heavy quarks, though having little effect on the overall equation of state, are critical as probes of the surrounding medium. We compare predictions from a scenario where the ...

Using the Ponce de Leon background metric, which describes a 5D universe in an apparent vacuum: ¯ G AB = 0, we study the effective 4D evolution of both, the inflaton and gauge-invariant scalar metric fluctuations, in the recently introduced model of space time matter inflation.

We show that two of Bryant-Salamon’s G2-manifolds have a simple topology, S \ S or S \ CP . In this connection, we show there exists a complete Ricci-flat (non-flat) metric on Sn \ Sm for some n − 1 > m. We also give many examples of special Lagrangian submanifolds of T ∗Sn with the Stenzel metric. The hypersurface geometry is essential in the argument.

The CLEO-c research program will include studies of leptonic, semileptonic and hadronic charm decays, searches for exotic and gluonic matter, and test for physics beyond the Standard Model. The experiment and the CESR accelerator were modified to efficiently operate at center-of-mass energies between 3 and 5 GeV. Data at the ψ(3770) resonance were recorded with the CLEO-c detector in September ...
